The robots feature detachable panels, so when you’re battling them, it looks as if they’re taking damage! The panels are held in place with clips and magnets, and you can also see the circuitry underneath the armour, making them feel more like real robots. Both are remote controlled and feature spinning weapons! The robots included with the arena are: Witch-Doctor and Tombstone, both appeared in the new BattleBots series and are almost identical to their TV counterparts. I’d recommend an adult is required to properly assemble the arena. Aside from the spring-loaded Pulveriser hammers, operated by pressing the button at the back, there isn’t much in the way of hazards all the grinders and saws are painted onto the box. The arena looks beautiful, the board is solid, and the design is mostly accurate to the show. I’d recommend putting them in as pictured, as there’s a slimmer section which makes assembly and disassembly easier.Īssembly should take no more than fifteen minutes on your first time, and after a few times, that should go down to five. It’s a delicate process so take your time unless you want the glass to shatter. Again, there are disposable pieces to push out of the board and the walls slot onto the corners (which can be a bit fiddly the first couple of times).įinally, you slot the plexiglass into the housing on top of the walls. Put the Pulveriser pieces diagonally across from each other (so each team has a hammer each). There are little pieces of cardboard that can be pushed out for the corners to slot into (pictured). Right away, some advice: Put the corners in first!
The board folds out, and there are slots on the side of it to place the walls and corners. There are a few bits of information on how to set things up and what things do, but the sheet isn’t arranged very well so you might miss it at first glance.įortunately, the arena is relatively simple to set up: Sadly the instruction sheet is somewhat lacking in, well, instructions.
